So the last time i took the car to the dealer my service advisor got me signed up with the Ford Owner Advantage program. I never knew it existed but its a free program that allows you to accumulate free oil changes and receive a 5% cash back credit on any repairs you get done. For all of you with an LS thats out of warranty its seems like a pretty good deal. It also gets you on their mailing list where they send you coupon deals on various services. I've always changed my own oil but with this program it will cost about the same to have an oil change done there verus buying the supplies and doing it myself. Its definately a big help if you have a semi-major repair that needs to be done. At this point anything that i cant handle myself i would only trust a dealership to perform a necessary repair. I wouldnt trust any kind of small shop or even a Pep Boys type place with my LS. I guess all dealerships are different but mine has always treated me well. Just thought i'd pass along the info.

I have the card. But I only go there for oil changes. My brother in law is a mechanic, I have the shop manuals, and an xcal to read DTC's. I just can't do anything electrical (like recalibrate the steering angle sensor).

I really don't know what the card does. Supposedly you can like build up a balance on it, but dont' know how you redeem it.

5% cash back is a pretty good deal, as more LS's are coming out of warranty and it seems like there are certain failures that are common to all LS's it makes it alittle easier to choose to get the work done at the dealer, not to mention the maintenance work that most people dont do themselves.... brakes, tranny flush, alignments, new plugs, a/c work, etc.
