One of the modifications I had in question for my 2000 LS V8 is that I really was impressed with the Umnitza Angel Eyes and was thinking of getting the 4500k-8000k Just cause I'll also be tinting my headlights as well. Has anyone had any problems, recalls, or sh1tty service from them? My body shop says they've had a few bad experiences with them and Umnitza failed to accomidate the warrenty. Would appreciate any feedback since i only have 3 modifications to my LS out of the 26+ Mods I have planned or in qustion of doing......

a lot of our members have dealt with them with no problems, at least from what i have read, or lack thereof. Umnitza seems to be a reliable enough.

Warranty issues can be a little bit of a pain to deal with them. Ken @ LSKoncepts is a good guy to deal with though. One of my ballasts went so ken got another for me under warranty but I had to pay a $10 shipping charge so i decided to order another one as a backup and pay one time well it turns out that BOTH replacement ballasts were faulty...i think they were from an older rev as it was a metal cover and not a plastic one...well when Ken went to them for the second time they wanted ANOTHER shipping charge for the ballasts..I can understand once..but if the replacements were bad just send them out no charge...I havent heard back so I think I will just have to drive with head lights on so it doesn't look like I am winking...lol

The only problem I’ve experienced is that when it’s cold (like it is now) one ring on one side doesn’t light up until it gets warm or if it’s really cold then one on each side won’t work. I think it’s a problem with the way I have it wired so it’s probably nobody’s fault but mine but it sucks when I drive up behind somebody when it’s cold and it look like my car is winking! I find myself looking at my car after I get where I’m going to see if there all on. I probably look weird to the other people in the parking lot looking at my car’s headlights with the car running!
I love the Angel Eyes on my car though! It was fun doing it myself and I felt good after I completed them. And when it’s not to cold outside they look freak’n awesome!!!:D Luckily I live in Texas and it’s not that cold here that often…

it's not your wiring, it happens to all CCFL's when it's cold. one of my rings went out a while back and i've been so lazy to buy one ring and pry them open and re-install. so i turned the other side off so that it matches, lol. i just have the rings around the high-beams on while the other two are off

Matt at Umnitza never got back to me on the other warranty. Send me an email and I'll forward it to him and see if we can't get this resolved. Matt is pushing to go with the newer Orion LED Angel Eye kits but we haven't settled on a price yet. The LED kits do not use ballasts like the CCFL kits do.

ya the orion V2 look awesome, dont you guys remember the thread i started, Not much interest but ill buy 3 or 4 sets or so

no problems with mine at all, just the cold thing. did all the work myself, relatively easy if you are mechanically inclined to a degree. i might hand out for the led ones, they might last longer and might be worth the wait.

Thanks for the response guys. And thats' good to know about the cold cause i live in Washington..and we are pretty much America's Canada :P

Hell..if you did'nt here about us on the news we just got over record breaking storms of 60mph winds, 21 degree weather..and up to 2ft of snow..of coarse I live near Microsoft so we only got 18" of snow..but :q:q:q:q..in one week 168 cars, trucks, ambulances, UPS, tow trucks, and USPS got stuck in front of my house in the coarse of the week.....

Soo.....guess no Angel eyes for me I assume...unless I find a way to beat the cold with maybe insolation with my wiring? This is my first car so I'm new to a lot of the modifications and just taking things step by step. Luckily I have 20 friends who know how to do different mods and have done them for their cars..but all Lincoln LSs around here are diven by OLD FARTS.

I'm still trying to find out how street legal I can go with my headlights since I want them tinted to smoke grey and have HID or Angel Eyes pierce through the tint......

Just Saw some youtube vids on the Orion V2 Angel Eyes..those are badass....so how much they running unless they aren't released for the Lincoln LS yet?

If you have a 200-2002 you need to BMW E39's. They don't and wont make them for our car.

The more I look at them the moor Im tempted at taking back my words in the last thread on the Orions.:shifty:

Ya I got the 2000 LS V8

word from umnitza was they will make them but are in no hurry to get it done.

Umnitza being lazy? Well hell I'm from Seattle..I'll just send them some Coffee if that'll put a bee in their ass to get it done. Or else I'm just going tinted headlights with HIDs
