Southern Super Heavy Shootout 7, November 3rd in Commerce, GA.

I'll be there again like the last two years, except this time in the LS. Any of you close or up for a road trip, sign up and come on down. We usually have a blast there, which is really the only reason I'm willing to trek 1700 miles round trip. :D

You DON'T have to sign up for the bracket racing portion, you can just go "run all day" and make as many runs as you want (which is what I'll be doing this year).

Plus, we need more Lincolns there!

:Beer

I live in the suburbs of Atlanta and I'm currently working on My '00 LS... if you are looking for people... I'm one of them

Not necessarily looking for anyone, as it's not my event. Just figured it'd be cool to have a showing of some LS' there. I guess I'll be there only one. lol

There will be a large contingent of fast Marauders there. Check them cars out if you get a chance. There should be at least one in the sub 11 second range and quite a few running below 12. Oh and a show car or two, including "Prorauder" with a huge blower extending through the hood. John, the owner of Prorauder, won't be running it, but will have it on display. The Marauder guys are all very nice people who know how to represent.

Yeah, there were a ton of them last year when I had my '87 and blew it up. The video in my sig of the '87 is the run that did it. Quite a few of them broke stuff as well, so I didn't feel so bad. lol

I race at Commerce for Fun Ford Weekend, if I didnt just start my new job, Id be there

If I didnt have to work I would try to make it but, my car is down at the moment to. I am getting the alternator put in and I should be good to go. But, I don't get off work till 5. My grandmother actually lives in Commerce I could stay at her house. I will see if I can't get off work early what time does the event start?

I believe time trials start at 8AM. I'm sure I won't get there until 10 like usual since I'll be hung over lol If you can make it, I'll be at the Super 8 with some Mark VII guys.

Good times as usual down there. Ran the car 5 times and then had enough:

Those of you who are near there (or not near there like me) should really think about coming out next year. Helluva long drive, but it's always a great time.

There's a video in my signature of that last picture. My friend wound up breaking the seat back which is why he was so slow. That car wound up going 12.1 @ 111 on the gas on the next run....after we rigged the seat to stay. :)

Thanks, dude.

Here's some pictures from the track photographer to give you an idea of what kind of event this is.

The PT Cruiser is my friend Frank who flew in and rented it. He bought 7 bags of dry cement, had my spare, some tools and a 5.0 intake in the back to make the car meet the required 4000 pounds with driver. It wound up weighing 4010

Figures that I'm the only LS there, and the guy didn't get one picture. :(
