anti-theft system confirmation

Hi!

2001 LS v8 3.9l
stock system.

When I press twice the lock button on remote controller the turn signal lights blink 5 times and chirp 2 .

So this means that something it's not closed properly , right ? , then i press the STATUS button on the msg center and the status are ALL CLOSED.

What could it be ?

I've been looking for a lose wire and reading the diagram,but i dont get it yet.

Has the battery been disconnected (or dead) for an extended length of time????

I would suspect the switch for the hood, because it does not show up on the status display, but it does cause the alarm to indicate a problem. It may just need a little adjustment.

should be an easy one to test, open the hood, push the plunger all the way down and then try locking it, if it does not indicate an open item, then you should be able to adjust it enough, however if it still indicates an open item, you will need to test the switch for proper function.

I push the plunger all the way down until lock it.
Pressing lock button on remote control the lights still blinking 5 times .
I didn't see any switch or cable near the hood lock,just the release cable.

Am I missing something ?

Are you pushing down the correct thing? The switch is here, in the red circle.

Dammm !!!

I tough it was unter the lock .:slam

I have not that switch just some king of plastic cover.

---Looking for a loose wire i found one with 3 connector , 1 for MAF sensor , 1 for IAT sensor and a loose connector. (2 wires white and black/yellow )

Measuring voltage - just groung , so i put a jumper wire , now its working.

1 beep and 1 flash.

Of course , the hood sensor now its bypassed until get that sensor switch.
