You are speaking about a 1994?
Just get a new antenna mast with the new white teflon teeth. AZ has them and ebay. Should be right at $20 and can be installed in under 30 min. If you don't have a remote controlled stereo, have someone set inside and when you're ready to feed the teflon toothed cord down the hole. Have it on and let the motor run it's course (as in pushing the antenna up) and then when you're ready to feed it down, let the person inside turn the key off or turn the stereo off and start pushing it down the hole. Don't force it. You might have to turn the cord in different directions until you have the right direction and then the teeth will catch and pull the antenna down. It will stop on it's own.
Once it's down, tighten everything back up and you should not have anymore problems with it.
If you're speaking about the antenna sticking on the back window, take a putty knife to the base of that and get rid of it. Same thing for the inside section. Push the cord for it under the headliner and forget about it.
