Another radio problem mark viii 1995

Should my radio in my Mark just shut off and antenna come down when I'm setting in ACC just listening? It happens after about 10 mins of listening. I can turn the key off and back to ACC and it will be OK for another 10mins ??? wth?

In my 97, I can listen for 10 minutes with the key out/the ignition switch in off. After 10 minutes or opening a door it shuts off.

In ACC I can listen until the battery dies, open and close doors, etc.

When you are in ACC and listening, if you open a door does it shut everything down?

Right now I'm trying to figure out what's causing the popping and cracking after about 10 mins. Everyone is saying it's the AMPLIFIER,,,I'll replace that first and then go from there. Do you think the popping and cracking could be the Amplifier?
