Another Overheating Problem!!

Ok so my car started overheating last night. Today I took it to my mechanic and we started searching for the problem and didn't get a solution. We changed the thermostat and the reservoir cap and it is still Overheating!! Hidraulic Fan works fine and there is no loss of pressure on the system.

Any inputs on this??

Please help me!!

I have the same problem, changed the thermostat like five times already and still overheating. One thing though, as soon as I turn on my ac, hot or cold, the temperature goes back to normal. Anybody knows the problem?
 
mine was overheting recently also so I feel ur pain.
my fan was running also, just not pushing enough air into the system. if ur fan is running but u can't feel a nice stream of air if u put ur hand in front of it, it's not pulling enough air in.
 
im kinda stupid but where do i put my hand exactly cuz my car overheats only when im driving local but when im on a highway its completly cool
 
When you're on the highway the force of outside air rushing through the grille is enough to keep the radiator cool.

Sounds like your fan isn't speeding up when the engine gets hot. When you turn on the AC, the fan should immediately start spinning faster to pull more air through the radiator and condenser and keep them cool. More than likely the hydraulic pump is the problem.
 
are you guys making SURE you are bleeding the air out of the cooling system properly? I've had to bleed/get air bubbles out several times. Still not sure why bubbles are getting in the system approx once every 2-3 months, but since it only takes me literally 2 minutes to turn the heat on high, open the hood, slightly open the bleed screw enough to see the spurt of coolant shoot out, (the bubble being expelled), followed by the flowing streat of coolant, then retighten the bleed screw and close the hood), I havent worried about it too much. Changing the thermostat 5 times is a waste. Im almost POSITIVE you have not destroyed 4 thermostats. Its the bleeding of the systme when when change the thermostat, that is making you think its the replacement of the thermostat, that is helping.
 
OK today we took everything out: fan,radiator exept for the pump. The radiator was taken to get cleaned and found NO clog so thats not the problem but the fan spins very slowly when the car is on so its the Hidraulic Fan Pump.

Any inputs on the price of the pump??
 
Hydraulic pump for 3.9 if I am not mistaken is MSRP$403.98. Contact the sponsors at the right (Team Ford / Five Star Ford) to get their price.
 
I bought the Pump today at a price of $380.00..tommorrow im going to install it to see if it fixes my problem!!
 
this is a very expensive way to fix the problem. Sure you dont want to take it to the dealer for a proper diagnosis at least?
