Another Coil question.......

Ise....A little harsh there , but i see the humor in it.
I was only saying , I knew little about the Ls's when I bought ours , and see some disturbing trends with failures.

Truth is it's like this for every single car out there. Just the symptoms and problems change. Ex. The 5.4L V8 in F-150's is known for "ejecting spark plugs". Obviously this is an issue that isn't normal to all cars. However number of engines that actually see this problem; in comparison to the rest of the fleet, pretty few. But go on the message boards and you'll see a lot of posts about it. Even the ever reliable rice cars have these same issues; but usually it’s more along the lines of complaints about the interior falling apart or things like that.

Plain and simple; if someone made a car that had NO weaknesses, it would be so expensive no one could afford it because we'd be paying for the ultra high quality parts and all of the engineering to design them.

Anyhow, welcome to our community!!!

expensive cars

Actually nate there is a car or two alot like that , I think they're made with a lexus name plate on the front...LOL
Seriously tho ,this one was 3 model years old , but not even 15,000 miles on it.1 look and I was smitten.Compared to our 93 Talon , it sure felt fast too!! LOL.
My factory warranty actually TIMED out last year.
We did spend for the ESp warranty.I can see I'll need it! I love the car.Any chance I get I , I shine it! BUT....
Its HORRIBLE in the snow here.(I didn't know that..)May as well leave it in the garage and drive the wifes van.
Hey anybody know anything about that extended warranty? My dear old dad(Ex Ford Tech from wayyy back) seems to think that my performance muffs will give ford an out with driveline failures...
Great site.Great place for info.Thanx guys(and girls...)

A lot of vahicles get a bad name because the trend on forums such as these is to mostly ask about problems. I own a 6L Powerstroke. FORDs' Black Eye in the Light Duty diesel market.. Knock on wood, after 101+K miles, all I've had to replace on it was the injectors (under warranty) and the fuel pump.

People don't generally post on a forum if their car is doing well. No reason to.

Now watch my engine grenade next week.... :|
