Greats news when I went to check the transmission fluid: the T30 Torx screw inside of the drain plug was stripped. So I thought of another method: fill until I'm able to suck out some fluid with my suction gun. Not sure if this is the best of methods or not, but my transmission went from waiting 20 seconds for it to go into reverse and slipping when taking off to almost new (with some minor kinks). Even acceleration is much improved and it's more responsive to gear changes. Only ~2.5 quarts went in before I was able to suck some out, but it *seems* to be working good. Not sure if Ford designed it to drip out of the fill plug when full as an alternative method of checking for fluid level or not.
