ive done some searching but couldnt find the exact answer i was looking for. i've been in the market for some new wheels, and a few weeks ago i found the wheels i want. the only problem is, they come in a +35mm offset. every place ive seen this wheel for sale online at, ive called to ask their opinion, and they all say that +35mm is perfect on the ls.(but they ARE the ones selling wheels, duh) im not sure what backspacing the 20's that came on my car are, and i cant find them online either, due to them being an older model of wheel apparently.

my question is, who all is on 20x8.5" wheels, with a +35mm offset? do the wheels sit flush, any rubbing? etc.

I know on my car my rims are a +38mm if i'm not mistaken. The rims fit perfect on the car and slightly under the fender. I've never had a problem with rubbing even with having a five people in the back of the car. I hope this helps you out. Oh by the way my rims are 20x8.5

yeah, thanks man, that does make me feel better about them. the wheels that came on my car are lexani arnage, and I assume they're 20x8.5(seems to be the standard 20" wheel size for cars) and I get some rubbing in the back with even 1 person when I'm turning.....the front passenger fender also has a little bit of rash on it from rubbing, but the entire drivers side seems to be fine. I'm not sure if its because of the offset of my wheels, or only because my tires are 255's. I know ill end up having to go with a 235 or 245, but I just can't stand these wheels anymore and want new wheels. anyone else running 20x8.5's on a 35 backspace?

yeah, I realize that 40+ is ideal, but I'm not looking to lower it. I just don't want more rubbing than I already have. I can't seem to find a 20" wheel with a decent price, with a 40+ offset.

I just bought 20x8.5 with a 34mm offset. So far no rubbing with or without people in the back. I love the way they sit and I'm like you, I'm not looking to lower the car. Your camber is going to be off a little in the back, but I don't think it should be too bad. I got 245/35 tires on them. Here's the thread. http://www.lincolnvscadillac.com/showthread.php?t=30889

I'm running 22" dvinci ragno's and they rub only with 1 person in the car. I had to wrap them with pirelli's but on 30zr's which were way expensive. Anyone know where I can get a lift for this car because it looks amazing but I'd like to have more than 1 person in the car without 'scrapin thru tha hood!'
