Ok guys, I got a friend selling a Sony 1100 W Amp and a Sony 12 Sub Speaker, forgot the watts ..

Now my friend told me Sony is a bad company for stuff like that, the amp seems to catch on fire due to bad wiring, and it sucks.

I need your help, i have 3 sellers and the Sony guy seems to be the cheapest, he used it for 3 months and its garaged right now because he sold his car ..

Help !

Don't know about sony and fires... but sony's product isn't anywhere near the quality of many other brands out there.

A friend of mine runs that amp. My 175 watt alpine sounds better. unless your gettin it for 10$ I'd keep on lookin. I've never heard the fire story either.

the sound quality isnt the greatest with sony amps and they never put out any where near what their max power rating is. if the sub is a P5, (the cone should be kinda shaped like a pentagon with 10 screw holes instead of 8) they are not too bad, sound qualty is kinda poor, but they can handle a lot of power
