Ok so my buddy gave me a pyle 1000w 4channel amp. Model # pla 4140. So I hooked everything up on my buddys g/fs 12" pioneer. Worked great, had plenty of power. So I went home and hooked up my 12" kicker cvr 2ohms, turned the bass up aittle and it went right Into protection mode. And continues to do it even with very little gain. The sub is.fine its not blown. Anyone have any ideas whY it would.be? Any info is appreciated! Thanks.

yep. Don't bridge a 4ch amp and push a 2ohm speaker that way... come to think about it why would you run one sub with a 4ch amp?

Looks like you can expect 55 watts RMS from that amp into one 2 ohm speaker. NOT a sub amp.
