Am I Correct or Wrong?

I was driving on my way home and my car started to vibrate when accelerating. I stepped on it to see if it would jerk while shifting. When I did, my check engine light started flashing.

I don't recall my call acting like that for 1 coil but it did something similar with 2 coils and I also got the "fail safe mode" message. With one coil my light did start flashing.

So finally my question is. Would this be another coil gone bad or could this be something else?

Definitely a coil.

This is why it is a good idea to replace all 8 or 6 when one is failing. Just get the headache over with.

And, always replace the sparkplugs with the coils.

In my experiences, I have always changed the plug as well because they fouled out immediately.

I will be checking the codes tomorrow.

I just replaced my plugs about 700 miles ago. Would I have to replace them again?

Yes.
Bad coil damages plug.
Damaged plug damages new coil.
Cycle repeats.
