Alternator light on...

Well, it's one thing after another with this car..
I went out to the store tonight, and sitting at a stoplight, my battery (alternator light...whatever you want to call it) comes on...it goes off when the RPMs go up, and goes back on when they go down.
Looks like now I have to buy an alternator. It's always something with this car. The battery was replaced a few months ago.., but who knows...it's a Duralast.

(in autozone melody) Built like crap, Duralast. Don't get a Duralast alternator. I think a Ford unit can be had from Maxx for around $200. Mine was less, but I had the gold member discount. Easiest thing to replace on this car. Takes about 10 mins.

The price was right on the battery....it was CHEAP.
I forgot to mention...it already has an aftermarket rebuilt alternator, about 2 years old, and the serp belt is new.
I gotta get rid of this car....it's starting to piss me off.

how do i tell if it has a mitsubishi, or ford alternator?

It's done....I replaced the alternator. Very easy job.
