I have a 2002 Lincoln LS with the Alpine system, I bought the correct Scosche wiring harness and I get sound, but only from the front and rear speaker not the dash tweeters or rear subs(they give a scratching noise). I called the Scosche tech. dept. to no avail. Is there some special tricks I need to do to get this to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mussolini1996,

What alpine head unit did you purchase? Also check your grounds! Could be you have a bad ground somewhere.

I just re-did my wiring for my system in my car. Split the signal cable going from the head unit to the amp.

It's not a aftermarket alpine unit, it's a the stock one. I already checked the ground. Still no go.

Hrmm, Hard to say buddy. Just check the wiring. Also did you solder or just cap the wires off?

Personally, I do not trust Scoche products, Have had too many problems with quality.

I used butt connectors for the connections. The type of connection I used wouldn't make that much of a difference for the problem i'm having. It has to be some type of wiring issue. There must be a wire that needs to be connected with a different one. There has to be someone that has had the same problem. I'm sure If I used a different brand than Scosche it would give the same output. Like I said the the 6x8's in the front and rear doors are fine. It's the 2.5" tweeters and the rear deck 6x8 subs i'm having problems with.

Sounds like you got the wiring harness for the standard system instead of the premium one. The wiring is a little different but will plug in interchangeably.

I called Scosche multiple times and they state that's the correct harness. The one tech. I tlaked to thought it would be some type of crossover issue with the alpine amp. If you indeed right. What wires do I need to plug where???

the two console speakers are not tweeters - but DSP speakers driven off their own DSP amp, same for the subs - they are driven off their own amp.

it sounds like you are trying to drvie them like they are direct speakers - not line level inputs to external amps.

BTW: the premium Alphine has an head unit with the in-dash 6 CD changer.
