Almost new tires for sale- perfect for standard ride height

I've got an 03 LS with eibach springs- ran 245/40R18's on it until they needed replacing, at which time I ordered some Bridgestone RE760's in 245/45R18. Got them mounted, balanced and installed, immediately had the car aligned. Well, last week pulling into a parking lot while turning, with an incline, the left front tire caught the edge of the fender lip and pulled the lip out. Thankfully no real damage to the car (had to bed the lip back in place). Tire has some superficial cuts in the tread- doesn't go into the structure of the tire at all.

Long story short, I'm pulling these tires off and replacing them with 245/40R18's. They have 250 miles on them- ride and handle great, plus they are quiet! They sell for $664 plus shipping off tire rack, I'm asking for $600 plus shipping, or local pick up (Lansing, Michigan)

Why did I go with larger tires? They are actually much closer in size to OEM than the 40 series and I was hoping it would give me just a touch more ground clearance to prevent bottoming out on speed bumps. They will fit perfectly on a standard suspension w/18" wheels.

Not to be a hatter but for a little more whoever could have new tiers and not ones with cuts in them.. IMO.. Sorry but you kept bumping and I thought I would post. If they were 550 shipped, maybe you would get more of a response.. I know how it is when you buy something then try to sell it. You will take a good loss on them..
 
In the tread mind you- cosmetic alone, and this isn't far from the cost of three tires. Thank you for your input
 
Have you considered 235/45/18 for the front, I notice it is a little taller than the 245/40/18. It works for me with the Eibachs.
 
Thanks LEO- already put on 245/40R18's on it. Just went with what I knew worked. Didn't want to chance catching that lip again and potentially actually doing damage to the car. I feel I was really lucky as it is. Plus, didn't want to have to swap tires again and loose more money.
 
Been out of town, I just got home yesterday, I'll try to get some pictures up by this time tomorrow!
 
Oh, if you were to buy them, assuming you were willing to wait until sometime in july to get them, I'd deliver them, depending how far out of the way you are from Manistique.

Nope, but a good friend of mine has a cabin just north of there off hwy 94 (I think it's 94 that runs north off US2 in manistique)... I go there several times a year. Headed up in just under 2 weeks now actually!

Yeah I really want to get these things out of my garage before winter- They're $180 below cost at this point, for basically brand new tires!

Oh and I wished I would have gotten these but in the size I needed instead of the Goodyear F1's... the good year's are about twice as noisy as these potenza's! And to make it worse, the rebate for the F1's wasn't as good as I thought, so I spent more on the F1's than I would have on Potenza's! About my luck it seems!
 
Yep.. M94 is right.. that takes you toward shingleton/munising way..

And if you tell me you drove your LS and we didn't get together for a shoot I'm going to be pissed.. lol :p
 
Ha the LS is in the garage, not running right now... and I lack the time to put the valve covers back on and continue with diagnostics. I'll either drive my truck or have the GF drive. Where are you at?
 
If you need help putting the VCG back on let me know. Can stop by and give you a hand..

Lol.. Too bad..

I am all over the place nowadays.. My hometown is Manistique but I'm in the Maquette area going to school right now. I do go home about every weekend so I can se my kid. :cool:

Fast, I've been going up there for seven years now- If you have an eye for LS's, you might have seen mine up there... Black, 15% tint, chrome 5-double spoke wheels, Mclaren grill, gen II. Beautiful up there.
