All I can say is......WTF???

I noticed that most of the replys were from northern areas, but "Donks" have been around for years. And if you ever been to a car show, at least in the southern area, this is a basic of a "Donk" as it gets. The idea is to fit the biggest rim on an decent sized american car, mainly chevy's. I guess because I'm from the south this is an everyday occurance. I don't see it being any diferent than someone blowing alot of money on a civic, or an LS for that matter trying to make it faster. Some people go for looks some go for speed. Either way it's a bad investment, cars in general, but whose to say what you can do to your car, as long as your comfortable in it.

I would take that Town Car on 26's any day of the week. It's not my style, but it would be fun to pile in my closest 3 friends and roll around downtown at night during the weekend. haha To each his own.
If I were to do that to a Town Car, I would definately have the inside suede and 5 TV's and a lot of bass and some airbags.

See what happens when someone from the bayou wins the lottery-- world's most luxurious swamp buggy.

Sad,sad,sad...

Can we all pause for a brief moment to remember the Lincoln who unwillingy gave his life to be put to shame in such a manner that is a true disgrace to all Lincoln owners.............................................OK,NOW LETS GET THE SUCKA WHO DID THIS TO THE CAR AND SHOW HIM HOW ITS SUPPOSED TO BE DONE!!,SMOOTH,LOW,NON-GAUDY,DECENT SIZED WHEELS,and FAST!!!

Thanks,

I'm in GA right now and I just saw a Caprice with purple candy paint that was jacked up on what must have been 28's.

Like ATLS said, not an uncommon occurance in the south.

duuuurty south....I've lived here all my life and have seen this for years but it's still ridiculous.

If I had to look at these regularly, I think I would move.

I'm from Michigan and I see them somewhat often in the summer time; there's a couple here in lansing and more in detroit. There is no doubt about it; retarded... Cars were never engineered to be 3 feet off the ground with a tire/wheel combo giving you a 40% overall greater diameter. Yes, to each their own... but that is a liability driving down our public roadways.

Are those rancho shocks on that thing? The look like them. I was thinking of getting a setup like that when i had a truck. Hell that thing looks like it rides higher than my brothers Z71 GMC Sierra.

thats big here in miami too.. matter of fact.. there is a guy tryin to put 24's on his LS now.. pretty bad if u ask me

Yeah I guess they are right, these donk cars have been around a long time. I recall seeing a 57 chevy jacked up maybe 5 feet in the air with huge tires way back when I was a school kid in LA in the mid to late 60s.

I still thought it was strange, especially when the style at that time in my neck of the woods was cragar mags and lowered chebbies.
