Alarm Chirp On/Off?

What's this all about, I ve only had this 03 for a little over a week and I keep finding new stuff. Last night I was driving home, talking to the wife, and playing with the info center buttons. I pushed the Setup button and toggled through a few settings and found one about the alarm chirp that I'm not sure about. In the setup menu the arrow pointed to on but the thing never makes a peep when you arm the alarm, the only way to make it make any kind of noise is to hit the lock button twice like any other factory alarm equipped car. Is my chirper just broke?

Nope, your seems ok Mine '00 LS does the same when Alarm chirp is set to on.

OK I didnt know if it was supposed to make another kind of sound (not the horn beep) or not. Thanks!

LOL! Yeah your right, I just wasnt sure about what sound it should make horn beep or alternate siren/noise (like BMW's).
