Sometimes in the cold mornings (up in Ohio) when I turn my steering wheel a lot I'll hear a kind of "clang" sound coming from it, it sounds sort of like a spring/some kind of wire binding maybe? That is my guess.
So it was doing this strange noise in the cold for about 2 weeks now, once the car has been going a bit it goes away and doesn't come back till the next day.
Then yesterday, I get stuck in some snow a little and I'm rocking my way out, drive around a bit, and as I get back home all the sudden airbag light blinks a few times. I've read now about the 3-2 and 3-6, so I'll be watching for that.
But my question is do you guys think the sound I'm hearing from my steering wheel could be related to the clockspring? I have no idea what a clockspring actually is/does, but it has the word spring in it and that's what I think I'm hearing.
Thank you in advance.
