I have a 1994 Mark VIII, with the airshocks replaced with spring kit. does anyone know how to fool the compuer to think that the airshock system is ok? I get a message to check the air ride system.

Clippping a wire in the passenger kickpanel. :) There are a ton of pics and walk through from those who have done it.

* I would love to assist you with it, but All I can remember is a green wire I think* I battled with it since Im somewhat colorblind.

I tried doing searches on this forum but didn't come up with much that was applicable. what key words did you use to find the posts?

i didnt have to clip any wires, i just unplug one of the harnesses in the pass kick, that way if i ever wanted to go back to air i would just have to plug it back in

IIRC, if you unplug that harness, you will disable the speed sensitive steering/electronically variable orifice. This will make your steering very (sometimes overly) responsive at higher speeds, which could be dangerous if you're not used to it. Clipping the wire doesn't mess with the EVO.

Yup, thats the part of Arnott's instructions that i strongly disagree with.

Either cut the msg wire far back enough from the connector so that it can be re-spliced later or attempt to remove that particular pin from the connector using a small precision screwdriver.

Thank you Medium D and Blue..

You need to keep that plug connected... there is one wire I believe it's in the far left upper corner of the plug.

Here are the instructions from the only air suspension support you will ever need. click here
