air ride system

If the air ride is bad can you still drive the car my son has a 98 mark 8 and he is out of town in the car he thinks the air ride went out and now can not move the car is their an over ride or anything.

Yes... will wear a bit on the ball joints but it is drivable. Ride will be very very bouncy. Tell him to just take it easy on the ride back.

There is no over ride. If the compressor can still pump the bags up then he can turn off the air ride in the trunk (left hand side in access panel).

Cold can play a number on the air ride.

Amen the cold is the best time for leaks for air ride, best time for checking all the fittings and re-tightening them as needed until you have a perfect non leaking air ride. Although I think my case is a little different from alot of peoples.
