I read a while back that you can reset the air ride if the car is jacked up while the air ride switch is on. Is this true? If so could someone explain how to do this?

Thanks, Rich.

It should straighten itself out, shouldn't it?
What happened to yours? A guy at work supposedly jacked his up with the switch on and it got stuck high. I thought that they ended up lowered when that happens.

They lower when you jack em up.

I was just wondering about it? Sometimes when I start the car the front will pump up then the back, other times only the front or only the back. The same when exiting the car, sometimes it all works, the front then the back. other times only the front or only the back??? Just wondering about it.

Keep in mind that it may not have to pump up if it didn't lower like it was suppose to the night before.

Do you ever get a check suspension message?....like maybe at 60+? Mark VIII's are notorious for venting problems due to moisture in the system.

You can check to see if you have a venting issue by putting some extra weight in the trunk, turn the key on and let it pump up to normal height. Then, remove the weight, turn off the key and close the door.

The rear should vent down quickly and you should be able to easily see it lower. The more weight was added, the longer it should take to lower, but even adding 200 lbs., it should be able to vent easily within 20 seconds or so(the module will only try for a max. of 45 seconds).

If after you shut the door, (clicking coming from the solenoids opening up) you really can't tell thats its venting, you probably have a venting problem, which is a common problem on these cars, but fairly easy to fix.

Thanks for the advice, the car does vent everytime that the solenoid activates, you can see the car go down. It doesn't always activate the solenoid though. most of the time but not always. Is this normal? Should the front and rear always lower when exiting the car?

Thanks, good info. Do you sell a lowered spring kit for the mark VIII? like maybe 4" front and 3" rear? or something close to that.

I sell 2 kits for this vehicle. The standard height and the lowered height kits. The lowered version is advertised at 1.5 inches, but is really closer to 2 after the springs settle. Keep in mind that theres only so much adjustment in the alignment. You can't go much lower than our lowered kit and still keep tires on the car. ;)
