Ok here is my problem...I have an 97 lsc and my car is sitting really low...At first the back was fine and the front was just sitting low but now the front and back is sitting low...Prior to my air ride not working at all it would set my viper alarm system off about an hr everyday after i parked it...I would turn the switch off and then back on and the car would rise just fine but now it doesnt rise anymore...I can hear the noise like its trying to rise but nothing still happens...Anybody have any ideas what the problem could be and how much it would cost to fix...Thanks

Sound's like you need new bag's or just rebuilt valves. Some one here can give you eddys info, He can give you the best deal.

Kinda sound's like one of the air line's is cracked or your valve's are stuck open, can you hear air rushing out from the wheel well's?

American Air Suspension is a favorite supplier of our suspension components, because the owner is a former tech and gives us a lot of help when we need it. He really supports his customers. Sounds like your air bags were leaking, and that probably caused the air compressor to keep cycling. Did you have this problem after the install of the Viper alarm. I have seen a number of problems created by the alarm installations. There are alot of systems in our cars and tapping in at the wrong place could cause an issue.

Go to the web site below as there is some self help. I think you either have a alarm issue or a leaky bags and compressor repair. It takes several cycles to fill bags up after the suspension has let all the air out of the bags. If you can get it raised again you should turn off the switch in the trunck and leave it off for a few days or so to see if indeed the air springs are leaking.

Yes i could hear the air from the front wheel well...but that was when it was actually working...And i didnt have any problems after my alarm was installed because that was over a yr ago and this is my first problem with my air ride since ive owned the vehicle

and another question...how much should i pay for the installment of the lowered spring conversion kit? I asked one shop and they told me 8-900 including the parts. Is that too much?

8-900 plus the cost of parts? that's outrageous, around 450 for the kit. I'd check other places, with proper tools, this could be done in probably two hours if even that. I did mine in around three and that was with a floor jack, jack stands, and hand tools in a driveway.

no i was saying with the parts included, but i figured that was way too much anyway because i hear that most people install it themselves...Whats a legitimate price to have someone install it?

Insalling the coils is very very easy. If you have a lift it shouldn't take more than an hour. On the other hand though when installing the coils theres a good chance you will find some worn suspension component, it would be a good time to do uppers and lowers.
