I have a 2001 Lincoln LS V6 with manual transmission (way cool, I know) and sport package. The engine air intake tube reservoir, the part of the tubing right after the air intake, has broken off completely. I glued it back on, but obviously that is not a permanent solution. The glue came undone twice already. I found the air intake tube part for a regular V6 engine without sport package in a junk yard, and it will fit in place of the original part, but the air reservoir is different between the two parts. Does anyone know if they will be compatible? No one makes the part anymore and even the dealer doesn't have it. Or if the two parts are not compatible for a V6 with and without sport package, is there an aftermarket part that will be a suitable replacement? Seeing as I can't get another Lincoln with a stick, I need to hang onto this one, no matter what I need to do to repair it and no matter what it costs me. Thanks.

That's a resonator. The difference between sport and non-sport is not critical.
