511733That most enthusiasts are going back to paper filters becasue they preform better.

+100K or 200K!

I put about 200K on my car with a K&N

the last 100K I didn't ever oil the filter after cleaning it..
SO MUCH FOR TOO MUCH OIL..right?

I put the stock air box and filter back on the car and it went faster than it had ever gone.

+1 for stock air box and paper filter
-1 for overhyped K&N filter.

Now if your hellbent on getting a K&N there is little that ANYONE can do to change your mind, just go buy the damned thing.

P.S. when I put the stock air box back, I had to pull the maf sensor OUT of the C&L housing to put back in the stock housing, so it was the SAME MAF sensor that went 200K behind an K&N filter, obviously it wasn't "over oiled or contaminated".

The only problem I ever had with a K&N was some leaf debris hung up on the MAF

which shouldn't/ isn't even be possible..
I've seen you post this two or three times.

There is no way a LEAF can get inside a K&N filter unless it blew inside the filter when you took it off to clean it.

that would be "installation error" and not even relevant in a thread about air filters.

unless you just want someone to slap you with the dumbazz stamp
(joking smile)

Rayner, as far as flow goes, the foam actually flows slightly less(nothing to affect hp numbers) but traps much more debris. No gimmicks. No dirt in your engine.

if you got leaf debri something else is definetly wrong..........

i live in the desert and the unfiltered side of the K&N turns a light brown, the side facing the MAF is completely WHITE and clean............not a thing passes thru it, MAF has never been dirty..............

and dont oil the k&n.............
