My 2000 Lincoln LS is blowing cold air on the driver side but on the passenger side it is blowing hot air. Can someone please tell me what the problem could be and how to fix it?

It is located on the passenger side near the bottom of the radiator. You can tell because of the mess of hoses that snake around.

First off it is a bit of jerk to replace it since there is no room, but do-able.

This is what I did which was a bit unorthodox maybe.

I removed the intake tube and an assortment or radiator hoses and connectors.

I disconnected the A/C dryer from the shroud and moved it as much as I could out of the way. I wire tied it to the ABS brake lines. I also removed the electric water pump bolts from the radiator shroud also.

I removed the bolts that holds the shroud on to the radiator and lifted it up a bit and rotated it clockwise while lifting to get it out of the way. By doing this it gives you enough room to get in there. I'm not saying it's easy!

You have to dig your way to it that is for sure. When you get to the DCCV, you disconnect the electrical connector and all of the hoses that go to it. (I think there are 50):D The water hose compression clamps need a special set of pliers to remove them, though you can get away with a set of channel locks.

There are two bolts that hold the DCCV to the frame IIRC. Remove those and it should come out.

I'm sure I have forgotten a step or two but that is basically how I changed mine out. Installation is reverse of removal.

This is one of those jobs that I think some people would rather have farmed out. Here is a pic of my old one with the fan and shroud totally removed.
