Yup, the comp tries to turn on but it just clunks and shakes the car. The intriour lights will flicker when it does the clunking. Its not terribly loud but can be heard if the hood is opened. It will not raise the front end .(leak) I'm assuming its seized.

If any of you guys have a spare laying around for cheap that would be geat as i lost my job 2 months ago. Been driving the grand marquis and that bastard is falling apart on me. When it rains it pours i spose.

Thanks

Turn your suspension switch in the trunk off, so you don't wipe out your battery and alternator. Your bags, if they are not leaking, will stay up for months.

It turns off after alittle bit. The front bags leak from a poor weld at the bottom by the cup so it is undrivable.

well putting in a used compressor and making it work to lift a car with a leak is only going to burn the next compressor out super fast. chances are your compressor is shot because it kept trying to fill a leaky bag, this really kills a compressor fast, and if you put a used in its going to die even faster. i understand money is tight, but you have more problems that just the compressor, you are going to need to replace the strut too, i would replace the pair, or just get a used coil spring conversion and get rid of the air ride all together since money is tight.
