air blowing only from defrost vent.

ok guys,where should i check first,my heat will only blow out the defrost vents,when i select the other buttons on the climate control i can hear the click ,but the air only blows from the defrost vent.

any ideas,?

Sounds like a vacuum leak to me. The heater defaults to defrost for safety reasons.

I'd check the vacuum lines under the hood, starting with the lines and connections near the firewall first.

Look along the tiny black hose that runs over the upper intake for cracks or breaks.

yeah,i actually planned on doing that ,just was losing daylight yesterday when i fixed it,i will post pic soon.thats for the extra nudge though,now i wont forget it like i usually do,

I can only imagine how much a dealership would have charged for that.
