my check engine light came on so i ran the codes one was a p0153 which was 02 sensor circuit slow response bank 2 sensor 1
the other one that i have no clue about is a p1309- misifre monitor AICE chip fault, Misfire monitor disabled? what does that mean? please help!

P1309 Misfire Monitor Hardware - CMP Misaligned, CKP/CMP Noise, PCM AICE Chip

is usually the camshaft position sensor....

is that a pretty easy sensor to get to or is it difficult? the dealer will only work on my car if they diagnos it and they want 70 dollars just to diagnos it. i know how to work on cars so i like to do all my own work. just not use to this new car stuff

would that cause my car to run bad under hard acceleration. when i punch it kinda jerks and is surges a little and at high rpms the engine just shuts down. would that sensor cause that? and thanks for all your help!

it could - i guess. It is a magnetic tooth sensor - that determines the position of the camshaft by sensing a notch/tooth in the cam wheel (similar to the ABS sensor reading the ABS ring).

If it's going bad or dirty then it is possible it could start missing readings - meaning then the PCM would loose track of the timing for a split second. This could result in random mis-fires, especially at higher rpms where the sensor is doing more readings/sec and the reading pulse width is much narrower.
