aftermarket power antenna?

yeah, so we have an antenna in our rear window....reception is not as good as a discrete antenna, based on what I'm reading and also personal experience - yes, i have tint (don't think it's metallized)...anyone installed an antenna (powered or otherwise?)

I also depends on your head unit.. I don't think anyone on here has one.. "Takes away from the look of the car" imo..

Like the Eclipse unit in my truck sucks compared to the Clarion in my LS and the truck has an external antenna..

my tinit is metallized and doesnt affect reception at all.

matter fact the reception in the ls is better than in any vehicle we have here and they all have external antennas.

Pretty sure a great deal of that is related to the head unit. I, for one, noted a decrease in reception when I installed the aftermarket head unit.

I would not mind mounting a powered antenna on the rear deck for some improved reception. Know of anything like that?

Get a shark fin type deal, they look pretty slick and youll be the first to try it out. My reception is beyond suburb tho from the factory so, dont need anything else.

I think that would be pretty classy on a LS
