aftermarket help 2004 lse - mods needed

hey friends im looking for any tips or places to look for aftermarket upgrades already completely refitted all audio equipment to competition bass level - 20" black chrome rims and now looking for engine mods already have magnaflow exhaust on the way and air filter seems like noone makes lincoln ls even for the lse edition upgrades also brakes brembo or similiar with red calipers and stainless brake lines thanks guys and i will be putting up pics when project is finished

If you are looking for a great braking system look into the StopTech Big Brake kit. It's expensive but well worth it. I currently have it on my LS and it is awesome. Go to www.stoptech.com for more info. They also sell the stainless steel braided brake lines too.

sir, this is not college so with all due respect kindly go somewhere else this is a car forum im not looking for puntuality just a bunch of GUY'S that enjoy our vehicles, GRAY thanks for the help the intake is on its way should be nice with the magnaflow exhaust but i think i am going to wait on the brakes there pricey, but i prefer to do things right. thanks again any more info will be appreciated.

thanks for the info another question you seem to be everywhere helping us all i was wondering what is this heat shield im seeing throughout the site with the air intake? on the bottom of the grill im not mechanicall and looking for all the info i can get just started getting into cars thanks
 
There has been several folks building their own air boxes for the intakes. Do a search on air box and you should get several results. One person even made a template for all to use. I'm currently working with my fab vendor to make the air box but since I have numerous other projects going I may not be able to get it done for a while. However, if you follow the guide the one member laid out you should be able to build one yourself relatively cheap.
 
If you are concerned about aftermarket items voiding your warranty you are protected under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. This states that a dealership can not void your warranty if you add aftermarket products. You can read more about it on my website here:

No Sir, this is not College. I will give you that. But it is really hard to understand what you are asking when you dont use any punctuation of any kind.

There is a reason why man invented punctuation. It is to emphasize what he wanted to convey in his writings. Just like a complicated dish, written language has it's "recipe".

And I will go where ever I please. You see, in case you haven't noticed, this is the Internet. And if I have an opinion about your punctuation skills (or lack thereof), I will state it. Opinions are like arseholes... everyone has one... and I must say, I am an EXPERT on my own opinions. Actually, I would say to your face that your punctuations skills are lacking. But that is another story for another time.

I love cars, car people, but hate illiterates... Sorry.

grayghost.. u left out some info.. we CAN not cover parts under warranty if u have aftermarket accessories and they were the casual part. perfect example. K&N air filter - causes turbulence b4 the mass air flow on some models. causing drivability concerns( mostly lean codes ). OR the freshly oiled K&N filter contaminates the MAF with its fresh oil. Needing a new MAF would NOT be warranty anymore and the customer would now have to pay diag, labor and parts. So a dealership can void your warranty in concerns from aftermarket accessories. BUT, can not refuse to work on them, doesnt mean that it will be covered under warranty. Just take that into consideration when mod'n your car.
 
My local Redneck FORD dealer tried to void my warranty on my F150. I had the exhaust re-done from the Cats back. (catback exhaust). They tried to viod my warranty when I took it in to them for a transfer case problem. The shop.. manager??? started telling me how my warranty could be void since I had the Catback installed, Blah, Blah, Blah, Bla Flippn' Blah.

As soon as I mentioned the words "Do you know what the Magnuson Moss Act is all about?" hie eyes got really big, and one of the service managers jumped in and said "Sorry Sir, we made a mistake. The transfer case will be replaced under warranty"

I understand where you are coming from but you need to read the act very carefully. The dealer will have to prove the aftermarket item caused the part to become defective. Also, some people need to use common sense when it comes to aftermarket items. It's not a free ticket to abuse the car.
 
i understand the act. the act is to protect you from dealerships for voiding your warranty for parts not pertaining to a certain symptom. Whether its a K&N filter contaminating a MAF or its a supercharger eating #1 piston on a 4.6. It's not warranty anymore. I deal with It all day. Rednecks around here LOVE to mess with stuff. You know how many of them lil turbo things ppl put in their intake pipes for like $5. Well usually it costs them $80 for diag after they install one of them, since it causes all kinds of driveability problems. Warranty does cover stupidity. As far as "proving" a k&n filter caused you're MAF to go bad. All u need to do is look at the hot wires in the MAF. You will find that they are greasy and fuzzy. Caused by the oil and dirt of the K&N. Since Ford says that as a tech you are not aloud to "clean" MAF's it must be replaced at customers expense. Its not about proving anything. Its in all in black and white.
 
nice LS btw i gotta get the LSE body kit i love it. i priced out the factory kit at my work. 750 for the side skirts painted from ford. the rear and front was 600 something each unpainted.. WOW

That's crazy. Ford gets the body kit from the same place I do. I can hook you up with an entire body kit unpainted for $799. The kit includes the front fascia, side skirts, rear valance, exhaust tips and all the mounting hardware. Take 10% off the price above if you are an LvC Gold Member.
