Ok, call me a jackass but I used marvell in my mothers buick with very little gas and noticed a huge difference in the idling of it, we also added some after an oil change. Runs like a charm, so before I replaced all of my pads and rotors I poured some in the gas tank (I had 4 gallons in when I did this, I added about 1/2 a quart, yes i know stupid) and about 1/4 quart in the crankcase since i just replaced the oil. Did all the brakes, I was excited to finally move the car and drive, turn the key, engine starts up for maybe 2 seconds then poof it sputters and dies. The car was running perfect, then it started running rough when I got a lil low on gas and I figured to add some of the marvell when i added gas and well now it wont even start. THroughout the last few days the car has started and died after 10 seconds to today where it wont even start. The engine catches for about a second but cant seem to keep running, where should I start chasing this problem, or has this happened to anyone? Thanks

- An idiot.

How much gas is in the tank right now?
It's sounds like the ratio of mystery oil to gas is getting pretty high.

If you can attach a hose to the fuel rail, you could jump power to the fuel pump to get that stuff out of your tank. Put in new gas and try again.

Right now I've got 10 gallons in there, hoping it would dissolve it enough, Jmiles do you have like any tutorials or anything on how to do that exactly? I havent looked at the car in a few days (im pissed off at it haha). A friend has recommended to replace the plugs wires and fuel filter (i'll have to do that anyway) but would that be a reason or is it just the gas? thanks

Yeah, with 4 oz. the alotted amount with a full tank, you have about 16 oz. in there so likely the plugs are fouled with the oil and hopefully the fuel pump isn't toasted, good luck.

yay it worked

Replaced all of the spark plugs and luckily it started right up. The car smoked for about 15 minutes, bunch of blue smoke but now its running real steady once it warms up. But when I started it today after getting home from work it was idling real rough and felt like it would stall, and whenever I would hit the gas a little there was like a lag of a second or so before rpm would jump then it would stop and idle rough, but after about 15 minutes would be fine with no lag at all. My timing belt is pretty cracked could that be the reason? I'll be getting that replaced before I start driving it.

ok well the universal, or w/e its called is cracked to hell anywho

Marvell Mystery Oil is good stuff. Even with that much in there it should run, maybe just smoke a bit. I would think that your problem is somewhere else.
