So, I noticed this in the parking lot today. I turned my car off, locked my doors, and my interior lights stayed on. I tried messing with some buttons, disconnected the battery, and nothing worked. It bothered me so much - I skipped class. On my drive home it was making the dinging noise as if my door is open, and the interior lights still on. But it didn't say my door was open. Once I got home, I turned off my car and now the message center (compass, MPG, warnings, etc) and interior light's stay on. What's happening here? The battery is in good condition, from an F-150.

Thank you for reading.

door switch is separate from the latch switch.
door switch does lights, latch switch does door ajar.
this is definitely true though 96. maybe 97, maybe not 98, can't remember specifics for the later years, i'm a gen 1 owner.
