AC seat quetion

I have a 2003 LS V8 sport with the AC and heated seats. My questions is this, is there a filter that needs to be changed for these seats? I have notice lately that when I use my AC seats, the side of the console and the carpet get very hot. I thought I might have a filter clogged.

i'm sure there is, theres one in my navigator you get to. In my truck its under the seat and you get to it from the back

Yes, there are two filters, one for each front seat. They are round and you get to them from behind and under the seat.
I think the service schedule calls for them to be replaced every 30K miles, but they seem to go longer than that.
I've never noticed, but the warmth that you notice may not be unusual. Like any AC system, in order to make cool air for the seat, it has to make and exhaust hot air too.

Yes there is a filter under both front seats. I just blew them out with canned air. All the info on how to change is in your owners manual.

And they are a pain in the ass to get off and on.

I had no trouble getting on or off, they just twist.

Well, you must have small hands, mine are big and its tough for ME to reach under the seat and twist them off and on.

I'm glad its simple for you gc....

I got at mine different than what is in the manual: I moved the seat all of the way up and back, I had to look at first from the back seat to see them but after that I twist them off and on by feel from the back seat.

I was surprised how much dust in the driver filter at 20K which is on all the time.
