ac leak

So, my AC stopped working this year and I went to get some dye from the local parts store. I found it is leaking on the passenger side close to the firewall. There are about three AC hoses and it is from the thin one right close to the frame. Anyone have an ac hose diagram so I can find out what they call this hose? Gen 1 v6, is the car 2002 to be precise.

I lucked out and had the local hydraulic hose repair place fix mine. Had a leak in the suction side hose and the seals had gone bad. Cost me $12.75 to have the part repaired and $65 to have taken off and put back in.

Price bullet dodged.

If you have a local place that can repair it, that's definitely your best chance. A replacement is going to be mighty expensive. I had a local place repair the power steering line on my Prelude. Cost me about $60 for the repair of a part that's likely a couple hundred from the dealer.

$482 for the hose at my local Ford Dealership.

The diagram you posted does not show the hose I am talking about. It shows heater valves. The smallest hose in the picture is a heater hose and this one is AC.

The diagram does show the ac hose in addition to the heater hoses. May want to look at it again.
