AC controls feel jammed

My AC control that lie horizontaly below the climate box thing feel jammed, AUTO works fine OFF works fine but all the other buttons I think there are maybe 5 or 6 more require a huge amount of pressure to push them and once there on I cant push them to shut it off. Should I take it apart and try to clean it off or just try to pick one up for some one parting out an LS. When I purchased the car there were coffee stains everywhere, I think there may be some coffee build up preventing them from moving. 2001 V6 with 70K miles. thanks in advance

Sounds like something sticky got spilled on there. Happened to my step moms 07 tahoe, now all the ac controls stick pushed in.

Try to use something thin to clean them out, Q-tips and alcohol maybe?
