I recently installed a Flex-A-Lite 180 cooling fan in my '00 (bad hydraulic unit on factory fan). I know others have done something similar as well. Where and what color is the wire that tells my AC compressor to cycle? I need the cooling fan to come on when the compressor cycles. I can't seem to locate it. Idiot, i know.
Also, during my cooling fan install, I seem to have broken an o-ring on the evaporator line where it connects to the condensor coil (see pic below). I have no idea how this happened because i never removed the lines. I ordered an LS 'AC gasket/o-ring kit' from Rockauto.com but it doesn't include this o-ring. I'm wondering what this o-ring is made of. It is black but all the o-rings in the kit were green. Does it need to be something special or can i just use a plain rubber o-ring? I'm hoping i dont have to buy the whole line set to fix this.....and summer is coming faster than we think....i hope

The wire color is green w/yellow and comes from relay #8 in the AJB(Auxiliary Junction Box) underhood passenger's side.
