What's up my beautiful lincoln people, I just replaced my alternator, tensioner, idler pulley, and slapped a new belt on only to find out my AC compressor clutch/pulley are making a slight metal grinding sound while running. The AC Compressor itself still works and blows cold, but that grind is worrisome. Would any of you recommend replacing the AC Compressor entirely? Or just the clutch/pulley by itself? Any advice is greatly appreciated, thanks.

Is the noise when the clutch is disengaged, or when it is engaged? A tiny bit of grinding noise is not uncommon when the clutch is disengaged. You might resolve it by adding another shim to the clutch (air gap adjustment), but usually you can just let it be.

Ah ok, it was disengaged. It doesn't sound as bad since changing the belt and three pulleys so there's that. Thanks for the insights.
