ABS unit replacement.

I replaced my ABS unit today and everything is back to normal.

I must say that its not the hardest job to do, but not the easiest either. Removing the brake lines from the distribution block is the hardest part. If you remove them from the top, you must remove the battery, battery tray and disconnect the lines going to the unit.


1.You have to take the drive side wheel off.
2. Fender liner has to be partially removed.
3. ABS block is attached by 3 bolts to a bracket attached to a frame. You can get away with removing 2 bolts and then accessing the 3 bolts securing the ABS unit to that bracket thats mounted to the frame.
4. You may choose to remove the brake lines before or after( I recommend before) you loosen the unit .

You will need 13mm, 14mm and 15mm line wrench. I bought them from Sears
