Hello everyone,

This is my first car with ABS brakes, and also the first snow that I had to drive the car on, none the less I was very impressed the way the car handle on the slippery snow.

Back to ABS brakes, since I'm not a car buff, I know how ABS brakes work, however, when you press hard on the brakes on slippery conditions and the ABS kicks in, is it normal to hear and feel a loud grinding noise coming from the brakes systems??????
That was weird when I felt and jeard that.

Thanks

Yep, you should hear a grinding sound, and you should feel some pulsation through the brake pedal. It sounds weird, but it is normal.

That grinding sound means it's working! The rapid pulses will be felt through the brake pedal until the ABS lets up...perfectly normal.
