a reason to by a Mark 8 over a LS

Just as a funny thread since so many of you guys want the Mark's 4.6L engine I thought I'd make a thread about would you would like from the MARK series that you'd love to have in your LS

I don't know that people want the Mark 4.6. I think they really want the Mustang 4.6. Personally, I don't think people should give the 3.9 such a hard time. Ferrari has made some amazing V8s smaller than 3.9. Don't rag on the displacement rag on the horsepower and torque.

The LS is a great car when you compare it to its rightful competition.
 
i like the goofy air ride that sags at one end and the bad yellowing headlights, the gaskets around the windows and tailights that warp terribly and the spaceship like stying and cheap material used on the interior. all around gem
 
cmon no one hear has said they want the 4.6L, you panzies...hiding out there.....!
 
I'm confused by the warping tail light comment... I mean the Mark has a :q:q:q:q ton of issues but I've never heard of that one...
 
Hmmm ... well no one has put curtains in a Mark VIII on this board ... can't say that about the LS crowd LOL ...

Hey can you say mods ... Which car can you really mod. Where are your aftermarket mods LS guys ... we are talking cars here gear head $hit ... haven't seen any 10 second LSs on this board yet.

On and don't b itch about the issues ... Haven't you guys read the LS forum... LOL ...

Next season Ill have consistent 12's down and this season hopefully before its over 13's N/A no power adder..
 
Does it really matter? I mean both cars are old and outdated now. Have you been in the new MKS? Rides great and has nice performance for an under 50,000 dollar luxury car. The LS and the Mark are not cars I would choose if I wanted to just run 11's. I like my LS for what it is a comfortable everyday driver.
 
Agreed, Lincoln Ave. Most of us are not modding them to whip on other performance-based cars on the road. I think the majority are taking a car they really like and trying to make it unique or a little different from stock. There are a few exceptions - Quik and such that have pushed the boundaries of LS performance.

:eek: OUT DATED..BY WHAT?:mad: ...I got plenty of dates because of my MARK VIII!!!..There was sally, man she had a set! not to mention bunny!!
and "forget about" big butt Betty!! OUT DATED, I DON'T THINK SO!!!:mad: And some things just get better with age..LOOK AT ME! On second thought don't look at me..anyway you know what I'm SAYING..YOU YOUNG WHIPPER SNAPPERS!:D
 
if bmw and audi improve on their reliability...shame they've gone so downhill. Even audi (from JD Power) has more problems per 100 vehicles than last years' models

Umm, I think NYC was referring to life and/or life's experiences, not watching mega-freaky stuff on the Net.

I just have to say one thing about the LS that blows the Mark away, Cooled Leather Seats!
