A Few Things

Hi, I've got a 94 base model mark viii.


- When it first starts up it has a lot of trouble in idle and sometimes shuts off. If you drive and then go into idle, it seems fine but will stall then jump when you accelerate.

- While accelerating there is vibration and rattling/fanning noise

- burning oil smell at hard acceleration

IAC valve needs replaced

also theres smoke after hard accel

tune up and a iac would help whats the miles on the motor what color smoke black or blue does it smell like antifrezze,oil or unburnt gas like a misfire

Definately the IAC. Nothing short of replacing it will do the trick. It is not an easy job. I didn't do the job on my son's 93. I had the work done.

the smell is oil, and i just had a tune up.

the iac is not that hard to replace on a 1 gen one bolt is hard to get out and in ,my fix for this is to use a rubber vac hose and thead it off and on then you can fit your socket on it to tighten or losen it hope you have better luck then i did getting the part i had to order it and wait like a week

gonna do the iac.

and for the other stuff, im just going to take it in because ive had a full tune up, replaced filters, plugs, and seafoamed.

there is still rattling at acceleration and burning oil smoke so im not sure what else to do.
