A diamond in the rough???

Why does he think it needs a valve job, has it had a leak down test performed?, and why wouldnt it be done when the heads were off in the first place? If you were going to part it out it would be a good deal if you could pick it up for 500-600.00 unless you have mechanical skills.

wonderd that myself Im pretty good with these cars I have 3 engines under me now and several other things. Im going to try to get now there and look at it andd see it for myself. but yeah I think he would take 5 its been there for along time started a 1500 and now down to 7 keep going lower buddy :D

If the whole 4v timing doesnt scare you (it shouldnt anybody!) and you could get it for 500 or 600.00 it seems like it could be worth the trouble.

I havent messed with the timing but it doesnt seem that hard. I do have a book but id like to find a ford service manual on marks. I have set up timing on many engines so im not intimidated as long as I have a reference. I love that fact that it only has 130k where mine has 228k lol.

Be carefull with overheated motors where they only replaced the head gaskets.
When heat builds up that high in the motor the oil thins out like water and I'd bet there are scars all through out that poor motor.
I could be wrong though, for 400-500 could be a good deal on a parts car unless you wanted to rebuild or replace the motor, then run it.

Wow... Talk about truth in advertising, by omitting it.

This car isn't worth the tires it's sitting on.

From the looks of the coolant tank, it wasn't changed that often. Is it me, or does the inside look brown. Could be a nice car, but it does need some work. KBB my ass.

Damn, looks like someone left the windows down for a while.

And with the engine being bad I don't see how it is worth more than $350-$400.

Toss it in the crusher long enough and you might get a diamond from it (or maybe a cubic zirconia). :D
