without the DNS, straight to the server http://67.20.62.50 ????

~ works for me, we can't both have server not reachable with direct IP address.

it all resolves to 67.20.62.50, deneau.info is hosted on a server rack at royal.serverchamber.com.

I can reach it, ping it, trace route it from Canada.

It must be a DNS Nameserver entry that's not updated somewhere for your lower states.

~ Sorry, it's been a while since my IT days.
~ Owlman will have to make a call or place a support ticket.

I'm not BS'ing you here, it works for me, I can get to that GEN II shop manual all day here right now.

I've even flushed my local DNScache, deleted all my temp files and forced a hard refresh GET on that server and I can still complete Http requests.

I get this in my address bar:

http://search.freeze.com/search.aspx?programid=132&q=royal.serverchamber.com&ApplicationID={849BD4EC-0658-4782-88FB-DF0C84E306D3}&sc=0&keywords=&programname=My.Freeze.Com&isFromErrorPage=1&SearchConfigurationID=4&SearchType=3&ApplicationType=2&type=W3i_NA,132,3_6,NA%20Error,20130209,6894,0,64,6923

link works.
its v8 only tho, so not every genduece is included

it seems to be half working for me, the contents on the left side work normal, but some pages pull up, some dont..

Seems OK at the moment; I'll check with the host if they've had outages recently. (although, for the $7/yr I pay I don't expect a super-prompt reply :))

Yeah that's a known issue. I think none of the internal links work. You have to navigate entirely using the left frame.

oh i know, what im saying was that some of the links on the left were not bringing up pages.

looks like its back to working fine for me now, one of the links that wasnt working is now, must have been a temp problem.

lord knows what i would have to do if this didn't work, ive used this so many times its not funny. this has been one of the most useful tools i've ever came across.

thank you owlman for making it happen in the first place!

You know these shop manuals on DVD are available on eBay for 11 bucks right ?
both GEN I and II's ... gives you whole lot more content as well.

TBS, Recalls, Work Shop manuals, Body Collision Repair Manuals, Wiring Diagrams, PC/ED info and Engine/Emission Facts.

more then just the LS on there, all sorts of other Ford series in there.

Best 11 dollars I ever spend.

That's cheap! You can also usually find them for download on various torrent search engines (but buying the dvd sounds a lot easier)

I'd be interested in learning how you went about exporting it all into html for use on a web site.
I might be interested in posting the GEN I manual.

Still no worky........

Same here...

Sorry guys, don't know what to tell ya, it's been working fine for me, never really had any troubles with it anytime I ever sourced it.

Maybe you guys should move to Canada, we have access to the entire internet not just parts of it.

j/k

Go for it! With the dvd version I had, there was a cache or temp directory (I don't remember the details, this was several years ago) where the Ford software would place relevant html files and images while you browse the manual. The only catch is it deleted them after a short time or after you change the page. So I had to write a script to keep copying the files to some other directory or make them read-only, so they wouldn't be deleted.

Then all I had to do was click through every... single... page... in the manual to populate the cache, clean up a few links for the main page/frame definition/etc, upload to a website and voila.

I don't recall if the wiring diagrams or other parts of the documentation worked the same way; I only tried the service manual portion.

I think that the wiring diagrams all come out as separate PDF pages, not HTML except for maybe the index.

Yeah, but then we couldn't get parts shipped to us...
Must be some sort of routing table error somewhere between us and the server.

interesting, because here, our entire country has access to the internet, not just parts of it! :p

I have that and access to Alldata (benefit of another website).

Got ya, yes I noticed that in the C:\TSO directory, was hoping for an easier method but ... do-able for sure.

thanks!

Yeah, but then we couldn't get parts shipped to us...

Come on now Professor, we can get the parts, it's the shipping cost that is the butt hurt!
...but then again, some vendors don't like to ship products to Canada because our colored money scares them.

Right?!?!, not sure where you get your info from but last I seen even our drunken natives up north, stuck in the Great White Wilderness have access.
It's the commodities we can only get to them 4mths out of the year by ice roads.

believe it or not internet here is more restricted than you think. you just havent tried to find enough things the powers that be dont want you to see.

ford has the manuals taken down all over USA but they dont have the same amount of legal pull in other countries. thats why the files on the cd's are so difficult to find on torrents hosted here and all of the cd salesman are (mostly) Eastern Euro's. i am shocked yall have got away with keeping that 06 ma_nual up as long as you have..
