Hey guys, tomorrow i'm going to buy a 98+trans. Probably nothing over a 2001 one. Probably out of a mustang. Other then the repinning. How many solenoids do I have to replace from my 96 trans and how do I get the tcc solenoid to work with the circuit strip. Also I think I need the sensor on the side of the tranny. the mlps or something. how about the speed sensors. I need to know what I need to prepare for it to be a direct plug in and would love your help.

your gonna need to keep your mlps, that is if the tranny your buying doesn't have one, you could switch out all your electronics from your 96 to your new one from what i have heard

I've heard that the electronics were better in the newer trannys. Wanted just to repin but just want to make sure I understand everything

I had mine switched from a 97 to a 98. Swap the wiring and you'll be fine. Doing a re-pin is unnecessary and will take way more time, not to mention may end up causing issues. You won't be swapping electrical components, only the harnesses.
