i just purchased a 1998 SEDAN DEVILLE D'ELEGANCE
beautiful car..only needs a tuneup
i priced one at a shop they told me around 600
i priced factory plugs at orielys auto for 6 each and wires from 60-80

the motor is the 32 valve northstar
i see the front of the motor would be no problem to do the plugs but the back looks fun...what all needs to be removed in order to do plugs and wires

also where is the fuel filter located on this car?

on a side note i find funny..when i joined this site a few years ago i had a lincoln...now i only have cadillacs...a 95 fleetwood and this 98 deville...:D

thanks in advance for any help

600 that seems like a lot for a tune-up!

I don't have answers to your questions, I don't have the car, how is the work coming along?

tune up is very easy to do, to access the rear plugs, unbolt and remove the coilpacks, that will leave you worlds of room.....use only factory ac delco plugs or youll be sorry, wires dosent really matter.

I too just bought a 98 DeVille, its just your basic DeVille, I need to do a tune up too, probably do most of the work myself....
