98 Mark VIII Struts/Shocks

I'm interested in replacing both front struts and rear shocks on the car as I'm tired of the not so soft ride.....IF there are any of you who have a good to excellent ride without breaking your body please let me know.....Now to qualify this: Before I put on air shocks the ride was ok to good. Now I can't say for certain if it's just the air shocks but they are coming out.....I'm open to suggestions as to what is a good replacement......Bruce L Hansen.....Senior Citizen.....Alive by the Grace and Mercy of GOD

By air shocks, you are referring to the air ride suspension, correct? If you replaced the factory OEM air ride suspension w/something other than OEM/NOS air ride components, all you are getting are new air bags on old/possibly rebuilt used struts. I've done that route & the non factory units were pure crap. OEM/NOS (if you can find them) are HIGH PRICED $$$$!. I went w/aftermarket springs/struts on front along w/new shocks in back. It drove/rode great.

I've had orig OEM air ride and aftermarket conventional (non aiir ride). Cannot tell a nickel's worth of difference. OEM air shocks are very unreliable, I have no experience with the aftermarket air shocks.
