I’ve got a 98 mark viii that I’m having issues chasing down. I was driving to work and the car sputtered twice then died and now won’t start, it cranks strong and all my power to the interior is working and all the fuses are good. I’ve ran basic test and:
No fuel pressure
No spark
My anti theft light is flashing rapidly
My info panel reads
Engine temp data error
Gear display data error
Fuel flow data error
Check traction control
Scan tools won’t make connection with the vehicle
All of these symptoms started at the same time and I’m just a bit stuck. Am I looking at a pcm issue or is it a PATS problem? Would PATS being triggered cause it to not connect to scan tools or would a bad pcm trigger the PATS? Any help or insight on where to start would be amazing.

Sputter and died I don't know. But sounds like the pats is preventing it from starting now. Reset it by turning the ignition to the on position and leave it for a couple minutes, forget the exact time. Then turn the key off and then try to start it.

found this from a short while back, Hope it helps
