97 ranger...help!!!!

Some of you guys, please help. got in the wifes ranger,this evening no heat, air works vent blows, temp fine, no blown fuses,before i take it to work and check it in at service what could you think it is? Heater core?, thats my guess......let me know thanks. :yourock:
 
Did you feel around on the floorboard by the firewall for damp carpet? That would be another indicator your heater core's gone too. That's how I found out the heater core went on my '93 Lumina.(Actually it was the moldy smell that caused me to investigate)
Otherwise that would be my guess too.
 
I say its the bypass valve on the heater core inlet hoses. My explorer has a vacuum actuated bypass in the engine bay.

it works again...dunnu, i think it may be the thermostat
