when it rains i get water inside the car pasenger side floor (right corner) I checked the vent by the wipers to see if it's clear from leaves or debri, i even ran water from the hose and i see the water coming out of the bottom of the car, i so i guess its clear. dont undertsand.

question 2 My blower motor from the ac stop working then it work, when it feels like it. i did not remove the motor, but did clean the meatal contact on all sides. dont get it! anyone?

I don't know a whole lot about this issue, but from what I read and what I have seen, there is a rubber boot that extends from the vent on top by the wipers and down to the drainage. It's my understanding that if this is cracked or dry rotted the water will leak into the car and soak the floorboards. I'm sure I read about that on this site and I beleive that the fix was lots of silicone and/or sealant to repair the damaged boot.

Hope this helps....

I had the same exact problem going nuts for days. have you ever checked the screws on the front windsheild cowl? those black plastic screws looked intact and screwed in from appearence but the heads were actually broken off from the screw which left a spacing between the window and cowl in the seam. i went the cheap way and found some long screws, spray painted them black and fastened them into the cowl. haven't had a problem since. hope this helps.

sick and tj thanks, im gonna check that out. the plastic screws on the windshiled board i do have 1 or 2 missing, but never had a problem, guess it finaly got dirt or something there stoping it from sealing properly.

thanks again guyz

will let you know!:)

you need to reseal the cabin air vent under the passenger side wiper cowel. from the factory it had seam sealer around it and 9 out of 10 leaks are this seal. take a razor blade and cut all around the flange of the vent, remove the vent, scrape off the old sealer, then put a nice fat bead around the bottom of the flange on the vent itself, tip it over and stick it back where it came from, push down on it and let the sealer squeeze out from under it, then take your finger and smooth out the excess sealer all around the flange.

screws solved the problem on mine as well, ford has them, theyre plastic  , i think it was a bag with 8 of them.......

its the design.. ive worked in glass and trim. My dad has for over 20 years. It's just the car... sealing something wont really do much for u.
